Seminar B: Dispelling the Myths of ULSHO & Bioheat®: A Candid Discussion Among Your Peers

Time: 8:45 am – 9:45 am

Session Overview: There is nothing more productive then sitting around the table with your peers discussing what’s happening with the fuels we use and their effects on your company – storage tanks, daily operations, logistics, heating systems, and so on. This roundtable session includes a panel of regional Full-service Company Owners and HVAC Service Managers (Worley & Obetz, Oehlert Bros, and Apgar Oil) focused on ULSHO & Bioheat®. Lots of attention has been on these exciting but sometimes, “mysterious” products. Some may have been delivering these products for a while and some haven’t started to yet, but still have questions. This training provides the opportunity to hear first-hand experiences from distributors that have been using ULSHO and marketing Bioheat® for years about their experiences and lessons learned. It’s also an opportunity for attendees to ask pressing questions to the product supplier, and dealers and service managers who have been experiencing these new fuels first-hand.

Seminar D: Optimizing Customer Service in the Age of Social Media

Time: 10:45 am – 11:30 am

Session Overview: This session will explore how Social Media has changed our marketing and customer service landscape by answering a few questions: Are we able to meet the challenges of connecting with the Genx’rs and Millennials and understand how they differ from the Boomers? Do we understand why do they hang on to Social Media? How do we use it to create relationships and more importantly loyalty and improved customer retention? What are the does and don’ts of posting? What is the right posting mix of fun and business? What are the best practices for championing positive reviews? How do we deal with angry customers and negative reviews? Do we coach our people on the best and most effective means of creating good, clean, emails that will get read?

Seminar E: Is ULSD Causing Steel Tank Corrosion?

Session Overview: There have been ongoing studies at the national level (including EPA) regarding the cause of corrosion found in a sample of steel tanks. Up to this point, researchers are puzzled as to the cause of this phenomena. One theory being tested is whether ULSD might be a possible cause. Join this panel of experts who will provide an update of the research into this topic.

Seminar F: Unlock Your Customer’s Secrets. Your Data Already Knows.

Session Overview: Many industries have become fixated with analytics, some in our industry are sometimes slow to adapt. Industry leaders have started to awaken to the power that data and analytics can provide. If they are successful, they will have a tangible advantage. This session will review how predictive analytics can work; whether they actually provide value; and then determine if it belongs in your future.
