Topics will include updates on the following items:
2019 NORA Re-authorization: NORA is scheduled to sunset in February 2019. An update will be given on the status of re-authorization and what this means for the industry moving forward.
15 PPM Transition: PA DEP is currently a July 1, 2019 transition from 500 ppm to 15 ppm. An update will be given on the pathway to this new regulation as well as what marketers need to prepare for over the next 10 months.
House Bill 107: This bill would allow gas utilities to place a surcharge on existing customers in order to fund expansion for new lines. This is an unprecedented policy in the state of Pennsylvania. This update will cover the course of action that the PPA has taken to combat this bill.
Seminar #2: Worker Shortage – Panel Discussion

This seminar will include panelists offering different perspectives on this ongoing issue as well as potential solutions that petroleum marketers can take advantage of moving forward.
The PPA is a part of a steering committee for a new public/private partnership that would involve PEMA developing a process to work with petroleum distributors and other entities during natural disasters. Representatives from PEMA will provide details on this partnership.
Seminar #4: Overview of 2018 Elections

Terry Madonna is Professor of Public Affairs and Director of the Center for Politics and Public Affairs at Franklin and Marshall College. He is also the Director of the Franklin & Marshall College Poll. Terry will give a perspective on the upcoming Midterm elections and how they may impact our industry.
This panel will address the petroleum industry’s relationship with financial institutions and how recent events may impact those relationships moving forward. Strategies for fraud prevention will also be covered as our banking needs continue to transition from traditional practices.
