COVID-19 is impacting our members and communities across the state. On March 16, 2020, Governor Wolf strongly urged non-essential businesses statewide to shut down and residents avoid all nonessential travel over the entire state until March 31 in an attempt to slow the spread of the COVID-19. The following press release provides more details on what industries and services are defined as essential or non-essential. The PPA will continue to work with our government partners to express the importance of responsible operations for gas stations, distribution, transportation, and home repairs.
Our association will be taking every step possible to ensure our membership is receiving the information and guidance they need to navigate through this evolving situation. For additional information, please visit our Coronavirus (COVID-19) Resources on the PPA website. If you need anything or have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us.
The Pennsylvania Petroleum Association is excited to again bring together current and future leader within our industry. This year’s event will take place at the ICONA in Avalon, NJ. Come join us this summer!

The 2020 program will focus on the Blue Ocean Strategy. Retail energy marketers have operated in a red ocean market space for decades by fighting highly contested battles for capturing existing demand from your competitors. This "bloody" competition is defined as a red ocean. In contrast, blue oceans are untapped market spaces which are not fully defined today. Energy consumption is continuously changing. Actively searching for a blue ocean will position your company to operate your business in an environment where demand is created rather than fought over.
